KW Cares: A ‘Ton’ of Help For Galveston Residents

The outpouring of support for victims of Hurricane Ike is taking on new strength. Last week, the Keller Williams Realty International Support Center donated 1,500 pounds of gently used clothing to the Galveston market center, where associates proceeded to distribute to neighbors in need.
Summarizing the outpouring of appreciation and support from the entire region, Carol Cones, Regional Area Director, Texas-South, recently wrote:
Please tell everyone at KWRI that the opportunity they provided for these Galveston agents to come together for the first time since the storm and hug one another, share their stories and then give back to their community with the support of their KW Family was way beyond heartwarming. How proud I was that people could experience what Keller Williams Realty and KW Cares is all about! This was just the boost that the doctor ordered and afterwards we all gathered at one of the few restaurants open in Galveston to celebrate new beginnings.
Once again our culture is what sets us apart and provided an entire community love and support.
To date, KW Cares has delivered nearly 100 grants to Keller Williams evacuees and other associates who are experiencing financial hardship due to the storm.
